BUILDING
FUND - The Background
Bethlehem Healing Temple is raising money for our Building Fund. Proceeds raised will go
towards constructing a new church building. Our growing church family is in need of a larger home and with your support
we can make it happen. We have been at our current location over the last thirty years. Now it is time to move up.
The property was bought in the late '60’s
by Bishop Charles and Sister Mattie Poole of Bethlehem Healing Temple in Chicago, IL. This facility has served our members
well over the years but time has shown that it is time to move forward with a plan to rebuild. The Lord
has blessed us with great pastors over the years: Bishop B.F. English and since his passing in 1999, Bishop Joe Swilley
and First Lady Exia Swilley.
Goals
and Objectives
Our new building project
will consist of:
- A
beautiful new church
- A kitchen and dining room
- Offices for the pastor and his administrative staff, along with a conference room
for meetings
- Storefronts for small businesses
- Affordable housing/apartments for the community.
Each member will be asked to contribute either from cash gifts, pledges or donations
through various fundraisers throughout the next couple of years toward the building of our new church complex, our future,
church home.
Visitors to our website who wish to contribute to our Building Fund may do so by
mailing your donation in the form of a check of money order. Make checks or money orders out to Bethlehem Healing Temple,
